Workshop on advancing gender-responsive legislative reforms
UN Women and @UNDP, with support from the @EUinPakistan and in partnership with the Women’s Parliamentary Caucuses of the National Assembly, Sindh and Balochistan, brought women legislators together in Karachi for a powerful two-day workshop on advancing gender-responsive legislative reforms.
Over 8–9 December 2025, women parliamentarians:
Strengthened their understanding of the legislative process Reviewed provincial frameworks on ending violence against women Explored next-generation reforms for women’s political inclusion Shared cross-provincial learning to strengthen Women’s Parliamentary Caucuses Visited the Sindh Assembly to exchange insights and best practices
This collaborative platform is shaping a future where laws are more inclusive, harmonized, and responsive to the needs of women and girls across Pakistan.Together, we’re paving the way for a more equitable and representative democracy.
