Legislative Literacy and Advocacy Training for Civil Society Organizations

UN Women, in collaboration with the Women Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan, organized a Legislative Literacy and Advocacy Training Session on 3rd July 2025 at the Committee Hall, Balochistan Assembly. The session targeted members of the WPC and civil society organizations (CSOs) across Balochistan.
The initiative aimed to strengthen the capacity of CSOs and development partners in understanding legislative processes, parliamentary functions, and oversight mechanisms. It further promoted gender-responsive collaboration with the WPC to advance inclusive governance in the province.
Key participants included Deputy Speaker and WPC Chairperson Ghazala Gola, Education Minister Raheela Durrani, Members of the WPC, Secretary Balochistan Assembly Tahir Shah Kakar, UN Women Provincial Head Ayesha Wadood, Registrar BUITEMS Ehsan Achakzai, representatives from CSOs, PWDs, Minority’s representatives, NCHR, NCRC, the media, and senior staff from the Assembly Secretariat.
