A consultative session on Gender-Responsive Budgeting (GRB) was held at the Balochistan Provincial Assembly on April 15, 2026.
The session was convened by the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) Balochistan in collaboration with UN Women and Aurat Foundation, with support from the European Union and the German Embassy.
Bringing together policymakers, parliamentarians, and experts, the session focused on promoting equitable resource allocation and ensuring that women’s priorities—particularly those from rural and marginalized communities—are reflected in development planning.
During the session, Deputy Speaker Ms. Ghazala Gola and other leaders emphasized the importance of evidence-based budgeting that responds to the needs of women. The discussion also aimed to strengthen the capacity of Members of the Provincial Assembly to effectively undertake gender-responsive planning, budgeting, and oversight.
Together, we are shaping more inclusive budgets, strengthening governance systems, and reaffirming our commitment to women’s empowerment and sustainable development.
