WPC Balochistan General Body Meeting on 12 May 2026

The Women Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) Balochistan General Body Meeting was held on 12th May 2025 at the Chamber of the Deputy Speaker, Provincial Assembly of Balochistan. The key agenda item of the meeting was the establishment of the WPC Endowment Fund mechanism and coordination with relevant departments, including the Chief Minister’s Office, federal WPC. The proposed amendments to the Assembly Rules for strengthening the institutional framework of the WPC, along with the allocation of WPC members’ development funds and a learning visit to Lahore, were discussed.

It was shared that the Honorable Chief Minister has principally agreed to the establishment of the WPC Endowment Fund, and a focal person from the Finance Department will be nominated to facilitate the process. The WPC members, along with the Advisor to the Chief Minister on the Women Development Department and the Secretary Assembly, agreed that the fund mechanism should be established as an autonomous body rather than being placed under any department or the Women Development Department (WDD).
The WPC Secretariat also informed the participants that it had coordinated with the Federal WPC regarding the letter shared in September 2025, requesting details of the Federal WPC Endowment Fund mechanism to be used as a reference and precedent for Balochistan.

Furthermore, the members discussed a proposed visit and meeting with the WPC Punjab in mid-June to review Assembly Rules amendments, institutional mechanisms, and WPC financial contributions toward women’s development initiatives.
